[Production year of a smaller "mobile version" will be 2015]

The 8 channel augmented reality installation offers physical interaction with a dance film.

Each visitor, once entering the circle of  8 cameras, is recorded and superimposed onto the displays. The searchlight follows the visitor. A virtual duet with the prerecorded video of the dancer Moya Michael begins. Based on Ovid‘s “Pygmalion“ myth, “corpus pygmalion“ confronts us with the human body and its mediated transformation. Pygmalion falls in love with his artwork, losing himself in the image. The installation shows the dancer Moya Michael walking between the cameras. Being a dancer, she is Pygmalion and the artwork Galathea in one body. She is present and absent, she is real and virtual to the same time.
